The ISG combines the functionality of the two most common process fabrications (Sterile Access (SA) and GMP) in one assembly, reducing the dead space of conventional SA and GMP fabrications when a purge valve is required.
This is achieved by integrating the purge valve into the main body. By simply rotating the assembly, a manufactured block body can provide three process manufacturing orientations; standard sterile access port and vertical GMP port above and below the weir. The result is an integral valve assembly that reduces contact areas and reservoir volume while minimizing dimensions and increasing design flexibility.
